About the project

What we built

Steel bridge in Australia with numerous long-length steel members and curved sections. Scope covered scan-to-BIM modeling in Revit plus a Twinmotion animation.

Detailed Revit model with each component as a separate family, plus an animation showcasing the finished structure.

4 phases from kickoff to handover.

  1. 01

    Scan processing

    Process the laser scan data in Autodesk Recap despite low source quality.

  2. 02

    Import to Revit

    Bring the RCP into Revit as the modeling reference.

  3. 03

    Model families

    Model every steel member as its own Revit family, matching the curved geometry to the point cloud.

  4. 04

    Animate in Twinmotion

    Export the finished model to Twinmotion and produce the client animation.
