How it works
Set rules once, apply across the model.
Every command in SyntaxRebar follows the same two-step pattern — define the rules, then apply. Plus a few utilities that keep the workflow clean.
Settings + Apply workflow
Each element type has a Settings dialog where you define cover, spacing, bar sizes, and layout rules — then Apply runs the rules across one element, a selection, or the whole model.
Remove Rebar utility
Strip reinforcement from selected elements in one click — useful when iterating on layouts or cleaning up imported models before re-running the generator.
Native Revit rebar
Every bar is a real Revit Rebar element — picked up by your existing schedules, filters, view templates, and quantity takeoffs. No proxies, no exports.
Built-in updates & licensing
Check Update pulls the latest build directly from the ribbon. Licensing is managed in-product, with trial activation and key entry handled in a single dialog.

Get the free trial
Download the installer, run it once, and activate the plugin from the SyntaxBIM ribbon inside Revit. No account required for the trial.
- 1 Close Revit, then run
SyntaxRebar-Setup.exe. - 2 Open Revit 2025 — you'll see a SyntaxBIM tab on the ribbon.
- 3 Click Activate and choose Start Trial. That's it.
