About the project

What we built

In-house C# / WPF plugin for Revit that automates repetitive modeling work. Ships as a ribbon with several tools covering structural cutting, floor openings, and architectural detailing.

02

Client request

What they asked for

A production tool that erased the manual grind on repetitive Revit work — tasks that previously took days would now complete in seconds.

Our Approach

Step by step.

4 phases from kickoff to handover.

  1. 01

    Plugin core

Build the command core against the Revit API in C#.

  2. 02

    Discrete tools

Structure each command as its own tool: BeamSplit, Floor Cutoff, Room Finishing, Wall Opening By Pipe.

  3. 03

    WPF interface

Layer a WPF UI on top of the command core for parameter input and previews.

  4. 04

    Ribbon integration

Wire every tool into the Revit ribbon for one-click access inside the modeler's normal workflow.

The Result

What was delivered.

In active production use. The BeamSplit tool alone cuts about 4,000 flanged beams in a few seconds — a task that took engineers days manually.
